Have You Ever Considered Why You Love God? …

He is so holy, so pure, so good, so perfect, so special, so loving, so kind, so merciful, so faithful, so true, so interesting, so wonderful, so beautiful, so amazing, so magnificent, so majestic, so royal, so awesome, so handsome, so strong, so mighty, so powerful, so great, so beyond description… really, the list goes on and on ...

In the psalms, we read “I love the LORD, because He has heard My voice and my supplications. Because He has inclined His ear to me, Therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live.” (Psalm 116:1-2). This was written in thanksgiving to God for delivering the writer from death, and to praise God for His mercies, among many other blessings ...

In John 21:15, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these (referring to the breakfast food that was in front of them)?” and Peter said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.” And Jesus said to him, “Feed My lambs.”

In John 21:16, Jesus said to him again a second time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?” and Peter said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.” Jesus said to him, “Tend My sheep.”

In John 21:17, Jesus said to him the third time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?” Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, “Do you love Me?” And he said to Him, “Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You.” Jesus said to him, “Feed My sheep.”

Truly, there are so many wonderful, unique and amazing reasons why we Love God. In the bible we find that ‘God is Love’ (1 John 4:16), He first loved us (1 John 4:19), and He loved us so much that He sent Jesus in order to save us (John 3:16).

As believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, we are taught to live and practice ‘Love’ as the greatest commandments by Loving God and by Loving our neighbors as ourselves (Matthew 22:37-40). By the grace of God, we Love God and we Love you all with the Love of God.
